Two things that make it less attractive:
1. Respawn after death with 0 mana. People tend to suicide spam and get full mana again by dieing.
2. Make death loss higher. The best exp gain is by suicide spam spells on big crowds. If you lose exp dieing then I guess people wont do this anymore.
I guess this needs some testing to work good. Im not sure about the % loss but it has to be balanced so people wont suicide to get some exp and actually increase in exp. And it cant be too low so people constantly drop levels if they dont have a big team.
